With the Brisbane International Airport undergoing significant transformational change, we were tasked with the technical job of specifying and designing over 10,000sqm of flooring for the Baggage Collection Hall. The area abuts the consecutively completed Arrivals Duty Free, taking you through Customs and into the hall to collect your baggage.
The project had a number of technical challenges in sourcing and specifying the most suitable product.
These included; Chewing gum, Duty Free Liquor breakages, Customs Dogs grip and rehabilitation, Lighting, Noise and the exceptional level of high traffic and trolleys.
The design is a large format chevron pattern that picks up the structural columns of the hall with a graduating colour scheme that gets lighter as you move towards Quarantine and the exit, aiding in passenger movement.
