2017 Year in Review

What a year it has been for the team at MARSDEN Collective. Before we close the office and take a well-deserved break over Christmas and New Year’s we wanted to share some of the exciting events that occurred in the office over the past 12 months.

2017 in review:

Our squad has grown, and we have welcomed on board some fresh new faces throughout the year while continuing to design and deliver on a range of exciting projects. We welcomed design superstar Tarryn to the team in January. James, our resident Revit Guru began in August, he joins us from his home studio in Melbourne. Our Graduate Interior Designer Ga-Yoon also joined us in September, as did our Design Assistant Michelle. Two more faces joined us in October, our studio manager Atlanta and our Design student Hayley.

MARSDEN Collective were pleased to be involved with the opening of two new Air New Zealand lounges in Melbourne and Perth.

In mid 2017, Dizzy Dukes opened in Redcliffe Peninsula. MARSDEN Collective designed an eclectic and industrial fitout that offers diners both intimate experiences as well as options for large communal groups all while incorporating the Queensland alfresco culture.

Resident superstar Kathryn worked on a new workplace design for EDL (Energy Developments).

We turned 4!

July marked our fourth year in business at MARSDEN Collective and we made sure to celebrate in style with flower crown workshops and drinks all round.

Also open for business is Retirement Village Aveo Springfield, possessing a design that supports the essence of community through the inclusion of a child care facility, wellness centre, conference centre and restaurants.

Construction began on an exciting workplace design in Brisbane CBD for Accountancy firm Williams Hall Chadwick.

Our chief creative Melissa was listed as #24 of Brisbane’s top 40 under 40 young entrepreneurs!

We worked on an exciting new concept for Crema Garage including a coffee bar and cafe in an Industrial warehouse.

We continued work on the Retail design management of the exciting new Everton Plaza Park Lane precinct due to open in 2018.

MARSDEN Collective were also involved with the design of a new dual lounge in Melbourne’s Airport for Plaza Premium and American Express due for completion early next year.

We rounded out the year working on a new office design for McDonald Jones Homes and look forward to delivering the project through to completion in 2018.

Love was in the air towards the latter part of 2017. Both Melissa and Michelle got engaged within a few weeks of each other.

The MARSDEN squad celebrated Melbourne Cup with a pool party at Mel’s place – featuring DIY fascinators!

We wish to thank all of our loyal clients and suppliers for their continual support during a busy and productive year and we look forward to an even more sensational 2018. Stay tuned for some exciting projects in the works that we can’t wait to share with you in the New Year. We will be closed from 3pm on Friday the 22nd of December and will reopen for business Monday the 8th of January 2018.
